DescriptionIn the interview Mr. Faulkner plays a few tunes on his fiddle, tells the story of the weather prophet who wrote the almanac, explains how he would celebrate Christmas, tells a ghost story, and recalls a story of a lynch mob. Mrs. Turner plays some songs on the banjo and on the piano. Reverend Cox visits the Turner house and also plays the piano and sings. Mr. Bailey tells witch stories, talks about the cabin that he and his wife built, discusses cooking methods, explains how he made a bread tray, wagons, wheels, brandy and whiskey. He also tells a hunting story. R.E. Faulkner is 73-years-old and was born in Cherokee County, but grew up in Bartow County, GA. Mrs. Turner is 77-years-old and was born and raised in Cartersville, GA. Reverend Cox is Mrs. Turner's neighbor. The recording is very quiet.
